Our new acquisitions typically share common characteristics with SII’s other portfolio companies. The following criteria serve as general guidelines of investment and structural considerations:

  • SII seeks middle-market businesses that generate between $5 million and $500 million in revenues
  • Target investments have an industry focus that includes, but is not limited to:

-Drilling and Completions Fluids
-Downhole Drilling, Fishing and Completion Products and Services
-Solids Control Equipment and Environmental Services
-Pipe, Valves and Fittings Distribution
-Industrial Distribution: Power, Pulp and Paper, Pipeline, Refining and Chemical

  • Geographic preferences include North America, Asia-Pacific and Latin America
  • Prospective businesses, as a rule, maintain a defensible competitive advantage with an established customer base.
