Thomas Tools began building a solid reputation in 1961 as a downhole tool specialty company, growing into today's rental tool industry leader. Thomas Tools rents drill pipe and high-torque drill pipe, Hevi-Wate drill pipe, drill collars, high pressure blowout preventers, handling tools, cross-over subs and specialized downhole tools. In 1986, Thomas Tools was the first to initiate the development of high-torque drill pipe in the United States, increasing the torsional strength of high-torque connections with what is now called the Thomas Tools Feature. This proprietary element incorporates a special box counterbore dimension. Thomas Tools was also instrumental in the development and manufacturing of the first high-torque, double shouldered re-facing tool.
A specialty division focuses on high pressure blowout preventers for snubbing and coil applications, recently completing what is accepted as the tallest snubbing application blowout preventer stack in oilfield history at 116 feet. Delivering the highest quality premium tubulars and high pressure blowout preventers for conventional applications, we rent premium tubing workstrings, flow iron packages, HP manifolds, tanks and all tubing handling tools. Rental equipment packages are also available for coil tubing and snubbing related services.
