Company History - Thomas  Tools

1961  - The company began as a down-hole specialty tool provider.

1970's - Company changed profile to become a full-service rental tool company.

Mid 1980's - Thomas Tools was instrumental in developing HT connections and was the first rental tool company to introduce commercially High-Torque DP.

1994 - Developed and patented Retrievable MWD tool.  Started Thomas MWD division.  Merged with W-H Energy Services, Inc.

1995 - Opened Victoria, Texas location.

1998 - Opened Thomas Tubing Speicalists division.

           First rental tool company to introduce XT (Extreme) torque drill pipe.

1999 - Thomas MWD merged with PathFinder Energy Services.

2000 - Opened Corpus Christi, Texas location.

2002 - Added Thomas Tubing Specialists Inspection division.

2007 - Opened Rock Springs, WY location.

2008 - Merged with Smith International.

2010 - Opened Williston, ND location.

            Became part of Schlumberger following the merger with Smith.

            Thomas Tubing Specialists and Thomas Tools operate under the single name Thomas Tools.
