Smith International, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company, is a leading supplier of premium products and services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, the petrochemical industry and other industrial markets.  We are seeking to hire a qualified candidate to fill the position of Machine Operator III (NC Machinist) in our Houston, TX location.

Job Description:

• Set-up and operate more than one type of NC machine.
• Second shift position.  Weekend work may be required as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Over four (4) and up through seven (7) years working experience.
• Ability to meet .001 tolerance specs.
• NC lathe/Mill experience required.
• Must be able to do editing and to work different controls (a plus)
• Daewoo/Okuma experience preferred.
• Familiar with functional gauges, scales, tape measure, calipers, micrometers, various precision gauges, hand tools, and NC manuscripts.
• Good written and communication skills.
• Completion of high school/GED or experience as defined above.
